Dr. Molland specializes in all aspects of women's health, and he is continually keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and procedures.

Simple Office Examination

If you experience any unusual or persistent vaginal discharge, you should schedule an appointment to see Dr. Molland immediately. Also, bleeding after sexual intercourse (post-coital bleeding) or bleeding at unusual times between your periods requires further evaluation. New techniques involving DNA are available to diagnose the source of sexually transmitted diseases with a simple office examination.

Annual Examination

A yearly Pap smear is highly recommended for all women, and it is part of your annual examination. A bone density screening test is recommended for women over 50 and a colon cancer screening.

Physical Examinations & Vaccinations

Primary office care, such as physical examinations and vaccinations, are also a part of the services we provide. Many patients desire to see Dr. Molland for all primary care needs, including colds, cough, allergies, migraines, etc. Issues related to anxiety, depression, and mood swings can be evaluated but may require a referral for further evaluation.

Can I drink caffeine while pregnant?
We recommend cutting down or stopping caffeine consumption entirely. High caffeine
consumption has been linked to an increased risk of miscarriage and, possibly, other pregnancy complications.

Are there any dietary restrictions during pregnancy?
Foods that are more likely to be contaminated with bacteria or heavy metals are ones to try to avoid or limit your exposure to. Those you should steer clear of during pregnancy include:
- unpasteurized cheeses
- unpasteurized milk, juices, and apple cider
- raw eggs or foods containing raw eggs
- raw or undercooked fish (sushi), shellfish, or meats
- processed meats like hot dogs and deli meats (these should be very well cooked before
eating)

The average age for the menopause transition in women is between 45 and 49, but this can vary depending on personal factors. Some people are able to go through this stage as early as 30 or even 60.
